Atlantic Deluxe

This instrument was built for someone who wanted an instrument that was very much reminiscent of a guitar that Michael Gurian made back in the late seventies. It is a flamed maple instrument with a spruce top. The entire guitar is done in herringbone "rope" purfling. It has a mahogany neck. The head, fingerboard and bridge are executed in ebony. The fingerboard is bound in ebony. The binding is the same maple as used for the sides of the guitar separated only by the "rope". The frets are done the semi-hemispherical way insuring the maximum playability of the instrument. Frets just do not get any better than this! The guitar is finished off with a beautiful set of (now out of production) brushed gold Waverly tuners. Oh, by the way, this guitar is literally a cannon!
