Pacific Special

This is my interpretation of the Gibson Advanced Jumbo of the 1930’s. It has a red spruce top, a rosewood fingerboard and a rosewood bridge; altogether combine to make this guitar tremendously loud with incredible projection. The 5 ply neck of mahogany, maple, rosewood, maple, mahogany makes the neck extremely stiff, contributing to the quick tonal response of this instrument. The indian rosewood back and sides contribute a sweetness of tone very reminiscent of the 1930’s instruments. The top is fully bound in mother of pearl encapsulated by ivoroid binding which also binds the fretboard and headstock. Gibson Advanced Jumbo style inlays adorn the fingerboard. Old style Gibson tuners and a transparent tortoise shell pickguard complete the look. This instrument is a very special one, its’ tone and playability are second to none. It includes a TKL vintage tweed hardshell case.
