This guitar was built for a very good player in Los Angeles. It is a non cutaway Mediterranean model with Indian rosewood back and sides and a very nice, figured sitka spruce top. The binding and pickguard are tortoise shell. The logo and fingerboard dots are abalone. Although it is not a real fancy instrument, it is framed by a simple request form the buyer: he wanted his daughter’s name on the guitar somewhere. The hard part of this instrument was coming up with the fulfillment of that request in a tasteful manner. You can see the results below. I think the result is stunning.
